Visit the Best Athletes in the World with Aspinall Foundation
If you struggled to get tickets for the Olympic’s in London this year, then not to fear, as the Aspinall Foundation are home to some of the best athletes in the world. For the whole of August, the Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks will be holding their own version – The Animal Athletics!
Visitors will be able to test their own Olympian prowess against a whole host of animals using time trials agains the stopwatch. Do you think you can hold you breath longer than an Emperor Penguin? Or run faster than a cheetah?! These animals were built for the wild, so why not try out and see if you’d have what it takes to survive in the animal kingdom.
Animal Director, Adrian Harland, said –
Every day during the summer holidays, animal fans will be able to pick up a free Ranger’s log book from the gatehouses and discover the special skills of some of the sporting stars housed across both parks.August’s theme is obviously very topical but for those who have not been able to get tickets for the games this year we are offering a great alternative. Come and see how fast our cheetahs can run, how long our langurs can jump and how high the caracal can leap. Plus take a safari at Port Lympne to see giraffe, black rhino, zebra and many more or visit the Treetop challenge and Animal Adventure challenge at Howletts to swing through the trees and obstacles just like our gibbons.
Both Aspinall Foundation parks are open every day throughout the summer, offering the perfect day out for the whole family.
