New Investment For Aspinall Foundation Wild Animal Parks
Great news coming through from the Aspinall Foundation, as the charity has announced plans to invest more revenue into improving their wild animal parks. This latest development will not see the parks closing down though, and both will be open as usual whilst the refurbishments take place throughout the year.
At the Port Lympne Park in Kent, plans are now well underway to convert the amazing Mansion and Gardens into a boutique hotel. Originally commissioned over 100 years ago by Sir Phillip Sassoon, the Foundation also plan to add a brand new luxury tree development that will offer stunning views over the 600 acre park.
This may seem like a very grand addition to the park, but these luxury accommodations will bring in a lot of money through rental fees, which in turn will be used to look after endangered animals not only at the park, but also abroad.
Managing Director, Bob O’Connor, said –
There are exciting times ahead. In times of economic downturn it is necessary to diversify and build on strengths already established. We already offer three unique ways to stay at Port Lympne – our multi award winning Livingstone Lodge, glamping at Elephant Lodge and our luxury rural retreat, Livingstone Cottage. Their popularity has shown us that there is room for more investment. We are committed to the county of Kent and we believe that these new accommodations will bring even more visitors to the area.
Damian Aspinall, who is chairman of the Foundation has reiterated this by confirming that both animal parks will stay open during the upcoming facelift. The plan being to use the extra funds that these will bring in to become one of the world’s most successful breeding sanctuaries of endangered species.
Communications Manager, Carole Thomas, confirmed –
There will be so much going on at both parks over the summer holidays and lots of new arrivals to spot too – it’s the perfect day out with the family.
So it’s business as usual for the Aspinall Foundation, but as usual, they continue to push the boundaries when it comes to finding ways to help endangered animals across the globe. This refurbishment can only be seen as a good thing for all concerned, including you, as with this this great weather there’s never been a better time to visit.
