Kitten And Puppy Become Snuggle Buddies

A friendship that has the ability to survive a brutal winter in Michigan must be a warm and loving one.  Chris Ouwerkerk a rescue driver with the Michigan Humane Society received a call last winter that a puppy had been abandoned in the rain near an empty house. He quickly drove to the scene as he always does, but what he found was rather unusual.

Something unusual

He called out to the puppy and the little fella ran out from his hiding place in between two trash cans and into the street. However, when he picked the puppy up he was also able to hear some frantic meowing. The little translation of what the kitten was saying probably went something like this “Hey, don’t take my cuddle buddy!” Ouwerkerk checked to see further and also found a kitten hidden between the two rubbish bins and figured that both the kitten and the puppy had been snuggling to stay warm and protected from the weather.

The puppy has been named Camarin and the kitten has been named Tomas and since that winter they have resumed their friendship and continue to snuggle at the animal shelter.
