Two people who were hunting for a new home got a sample of the wild west when they witnessed a bobcat and rattlesnake fighting to the death on the side of the road. The couple were quick thinking and whipped out their smartphones and captured the encounter on the video. The two people were fortunately sitting in the safety of their car in Scottsdale Arizona when they saw the snake and bobcat going at it.

A few months ago, Cody Wabiszewski decided to swap his desk job for a boat in Florida. The one-time aerospace engineer no longer sits staring at a computer screen all day but instead spends his time working at a dive shop and uses his days off to go scuba diving off the Florida Keys. Mr Wabiszewsk says the choice was simple, he really did not dig the cubicle life and prefers to be out on a boat everyday and has even obtained his captain’s license recently.

A French family on holiday narrowly managed to escape a pack of hungry cheetahs without any injuries after they exited their vehicle in a safari park to take a few pictures with the wild animals. The heart stopping moment was captured on video. On first appearance the three cheetahs seem quite calm as they chill out on the Grass at Safari Park Beeske Bergen in the Netherlands.

Recently a rather remarkably rare spectacle took place about a mile off the coast of Western Australia that was captured on video. A drone captured footage of sharks and a saltwater crocodile engaged in a feeding frenzy side by side on a 50-foot humpback whale carcass. It is believed that this is the first time ever that sharks and crocs have been documented feeding together. Dr Austin Gallagher a scientist who has been studying sharks for more than a decade says he has never seen anything like this and it is incredibly rare to see two species overlapping.

Recently the Smithsonian National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute released an extremely touching video of a mama gorilla cradling her new born child. Calaya a 15-year female gorilla gave birth to her son who has been named Moke according to the zoo. That by itself was quite the achievement since it is the first birth of a male Western lowland gorilla as the zoo in nearly a decade.

A video of gorilla at a zoo in Philadelphia has gone viral after the gorilla began displaying walking abilities that mimic the way humans walk. The gorilla’s handlers say clearly the ape doesn’t like getting his hands dirty. According to handlers of Louis the gorilla, the 14-year old was holding a bunch of tomatoes in his hands when the video was shot. Despite the explanation, the video became widely shared on social media almost immediately after it was posted.

This dog showed an immense amount courage quick thinking and was able to mount an incredible escape from a wolf pack that had been hunting it in the thick snow of the Southern Italian mountains. The footage is astonishing and shows the dog clearly being attacked by a menacing pack of three wolves in Abruzzo.

This is an incredibly heart-warming video which shows how people in a village in Thailand joined forces to rescue a baby elephant that found itself trapped in a muddy well. The video which was posted on YouTube shows the baby elephant having a tough time keeping its head above the muddy waters. According to a report in the Chiang Rai Times the calf was part of a herd of 40 elephants that had found themselves in a rubber plantation searching for food.
