The Aspinall Foundation will be holding a 1920’s themed ball this weekend, and you’re invited! That’s right, the a world leading conservation charity will be holding the ball at the historic Mansion & Gardens in the grounds of Port Lympne Wild Animal Park on Saturday 8th September 2012 to mark the mansion’s 100th birthday.
The Aspinall Foundations Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, is the new home for one of Madagascar’s top predators – the Fossa. These carnivorous, cat like creatures live in Madagascar and are related to the Mongoose family.

Looks like it’s not just us humans who like to relax in the sunshine with a lolly! Now that the summer sun has decided to show it’s face (finally!), the keepers down at the Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury have been cooling off the lemurs with an ice cold treat as the temperatures soared.
If you struggled to get tickets for the Olympic’s in London this year, then not to fear, as the Aspinall Foundation are home to some of the best athletes in the world. For the whole of August, the Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks will be holding their own version – The Animal Athletics!
Keepers at the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park were absolutely over the moon when female Bamboo Lemur Belle gave birth on Tuesday 17th July 2012. Amazingly, the keepers can’t tell what gender the baby is yet as it’s too small, so no name have been chosen yet.
More great news for the Aspinall Foundation, as last month their Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Park won the Best Leisure and Tourism Business in Kent.
