Bobcat And Rattlesnake Go At It In A Titanic Struggle For Survival

Two people who were hunting for a new home got a sample of the wild west when they witnessed a bobcat and rattlesnake fighting to the death on the side of the road. The couple were quick thinking and whipped out their smartphones and captured the encounter on the video. The two people were fortunately sitting in the safety of their car in Scottsdale Arizona when they saw the snake and bobcat going at it.

Debating who will win

The clip shows the bobcat biting the snake and scratching at it with its claws. The two go at it for about a minute and you can hear several voices in the car debating whether the snake or bobcat would win the fight. Laura Lucky, the estate agent showing homes to prospective clients was the person who actually captured the footage. After a ferocious battle for survival, the bobcat eventually wins capturing the rattlesnake in its jaws and proceeds to walk away with it.

Fun to watch from the safety of the car

Ms Lucky said in an interview that she told her clients that what they saw was far from normal and they should not expect to see something like that again. She added it was a lot of fun to witness because they were safe in the car. Had the group been out walking, they would not have gotten anywhere near as close and probably would have run in the opposite direction instead. For those who don’t know, the bobcat was always going to win that fight, because they are immune to rattlesnake venom, so if you watch the clip, that is why the big cat is completely unfazed despite having been bitten a number of times.
