The award ceremony held last month in Leicester and hosted by VisitEngland, saw the overnight African safari experience at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, strike gold.

Aspinall Foundation staff at the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent were over the moon to welcome a new member to the critically endangered western lowland gorilla family. The baby was born just time for Mother’s Day to parents Mumba and Djala, though it is too early to determine the newborn’s sex.

Love is in the air at the Aspinall Foundation’s Howlett Animal Park near Canterbury, as fingers are being crossed that the two snow leopards will breed successfully this Valentine’s. First introduced to each other at the end of last year, this courtship is part of an ongoing breeding programme to ensure the continuation of this endangered species.
New Windows for the Aspinall Foundation Malayan Tapirs

Aspinall Foundation keepers are over the moon thanks to a very kind donation from a local window firm. Valley Windows Ltd, who are very local to the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent, have generously offered to replace the windows in the Malayan Tapir house, and they didn’t even send round a double glazing salesmen!
