A massive congratulations to the Aspinall Foundation, who’s Livingstone Lodge has just won the Gold award for Best Tourism Experience in England. The award ceremony held last month in Leicester and hosted by VisitEngland, saw the overnight African safari experience at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, strike gold.

Aspinall Foundation officials at the Howletts Wild Animal Park are delighted to welcome the arrival of a new baby Javan gibbon to their family. These beautiful creatures are currently the most endangered gibbon species on the planet, with as few as 2,500 remaining in their natural habitat.
Aspinall Foundation keepers at Howletts Wild Animal Park treated their animals to some Easter themed enrichment over the bank holiday weekend, animals like Easter Eggs too! The elephants and anteaters were given papier – mâché eggs, each one filled with delicious and nutritious treats to encourage stimulation and interes
Aspinall Foundation staff at the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent were over the moon to welcome a new member to the critically endangered western lowland gorilla family. The baby was born just time for Mother’s Day to parents Mumba and Djala, though it is too early to determine the newborn’s sex.

The Aspinall Foundation are offering up an amazing prize for the ‘Have a Heart’ campaign which kicks off on Monday 5th March 2012. Bidders will be taking part in a live on air auction on the Heart Kent Breakfast Show on Friday 9th March 2012, with the prize a once in a lifetime stay for up to eight people at the park’s brand new accommodation, Livingstone Cottage.
The Aspinall Foundation is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a special three course Mother’s Day lunch at The Mansion & Gardens in their Port Lympne Park near Ashford in Kent. The historic mansion is not normally open to the public, so if you fancy doing something totally unique for the special little lady, this could definitely be the one!
Love is in the air at the Aspinall Foundation’s Howlett Animal Park near Canterbury, as fingers are being crossed that the two snow leopards will breed successfully this Valentine’s. First introduced to each other at the end of last year, this courtship is part of an ongoing breeding programme to ensure the continuation of this endangered species.
Aspinall Foundation keepers are over the moon thanks to a very kind donation from a local window firm. Valley Windows Ltd, who are very local to the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent, have generously offered to replace the windows in the Malayan Tapir house, and they didn’t even send round a double glazing salesmen!
