Spear Fisherman Catches Moment Of Shark Attack On Camera

A spear fisherman who had a camera attached to his head was able to catch an intense moment when a reef shark measuring 8 feet long attacked him and took a chunk out of his leg. The incident took place near Middle Samo Reef of Boca Chica in the Florida Keys. The fisherman who has not been identified posted a video of the attack on the internet and wrote that “this clearly could have been much worse”

A hunter in the Canadian woods is lucky to be alive following an attack by a black bear. The hunter, Richard Wesley was bow hunting close to Ontario’s Fire River when he saw a black bear strolling around quite close to him. Initially the bear did not seem to bothered by the presence of Mr Wesley, but when he makes a noise in an attempt to scare of the approaching bear, the bear decides to charge.

Shanthi is an Asian female elephant who is 36 years old and lives at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Now that might seem quite ordinary by Shanthi has a special talent, she can play the Harmonica!. Whilst at present Shanthi only has the ability to play a couple of notes, what is amazing is her keepers say they did not teach the elephant how to use a harmonica. What they did notice is that Shanthi really loved to make noise using a variety of objects, so they tested her by leaving instruments such as horns and harmonicas around and by herself she started blowing into the instruments until they produced a sound.

This is because they display extremely aggressive behaviour and have a penchant for attacking humans when they have not been provoked. Recently an unidentified couple who were touring South Africa’s Kruger National Park experienced the hippos aggression first hand when they came across one that was clearly not happy to see them.

A group of people on safari in South Africa’s Kruger National Park were tracking a leopard that was walking in front of them. They noticed the big cat’s behaviour change dramatically when it spotted a couple of porcupines heading in its direction. The leopard thought it had won the lottery with dinner arriving. Donovan Piketh who was part of the group said as soon as the porcupines were spotted by the leopard it quickly went into stalking mode and the group knew something was going to happen. Mr Piketh said it was the first time he had seen porcupines, what happened next suggests it was probably the leopard’s first time as-well.

Kerry Daniel was taking a break spearfishing with his friends near the Great Barrier Reef of the coast of Queensland Australia when he suddenly found himself eyeball to eyeball with a bull shark that was about to attack. Mr Daniel said he had swum away from the group and could see the bull shark swimming below him. He sought to escape by swimming away from it, but the shark turned and charged at him.

Now this is something you don’t see every day and you definitely don’t want to try this at home. This video shows a massive king cobra that had been captured and seems to be drinking directly from a man’s water bottle. The reason for the behaviour is because there is extreme drought across Southern India. The king cobra is extremely venomous and the video shows the reptile turning its head towards the person holding the bottle who cautiously pours water in to its mouth whilst holding a hook near its head so that they can respond if the snake turns on them.

A diving instructor who was teaching a scuba course to group of divers that were swimming in the Snapper Reef waters off the coast of the Cayman Islands saw a nurse shark lying in the sand. This in itself is not unusual because nurse sharks are known to exhibit this kind of behaviour. However, something did strike Brett Johnson as strange. In an interview with the Cayman Compass, he thought the shark was sleeping as first but then he noticed something protruding from its head.
