Aspinall Foundation Wildlife Parks Website Win Top Honours
The Aspinall Foundation’s Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks have been recognised in ‘The Beautiful South Awards of Excellence 2010’. These awards recognise those that have embraced multiple digital marketing for tourism in the area, with the parks winning gold in the ‘Digital Marketing Category’.
Online Marketing Executive for the Parks, Sue Linacre, commented :
We are absolutely delighted to win this award and hope that it will encourage people to check out our online presence where we trust that they will be inspired to visit the parks or donate to our charity. The parks and charity underwent a rebrand at the end of last year and a brand new website was an integral part of this process. We wanted to make it as customer friendly as possible and are really pleased with the new look. We aim to maintain regular contact with customers via online activity, be it through the website or social media. We are very proud of our website and are continually working to improve and expand it with our web agency Gforces.
The wildlife parks beat off some serious competition from the likes of Canterbury.co.uk, insightmobile.co.uk, visitwinchester.co.uk and visiteastbourne.com, to take home the gold award. The parks were also ‘Highly Commended’ in the Business Tourism category, thanks to their corporate facilities, park experiences and animal enrichment workshops.
