Easter Fun with Aspinall Foundation
If you’re looking for something interesting to do this Easter bank holiday, why not pop to one of the Aspinall Foundation parks and take part in some of the family fun they have planned. Both Howletts and the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park have loads of interesting Easter themed activities available, including
- Building hotels for bumblebees
- Games of bug bingo
- Animal themed Easter egg hunt
- Chances to win an amazing prize
Both the parks will be open every day through Easter, and with banks holidays on both the Friday AND the Monday, there’s sure to be fun times ahead! Visitors can even pick up a Rangers Log Book at the gatehouse, absolutely free, to help them follow trails and discover loads of interesting animal facts. There will also be talks held throughout the day by the Aspinall Foundation ‘Education Team’, so children can learn a lot about the animals that they will see, and how we can help them survive.
Howletts has an obstacle course with rope bridges and zip wires called the Treetop Challenge, and there’s even a smaller version for children called the Animal Adventure Challenge. Whilst at the Port Lympne park, you can jump on one the trucks at Basecamp for free, and experience the proper safari across the 600 acre site.

The Easter holidays are perfect for a day out at the wild animal parks with the family, there’s so much to see including our Amur tiger cubs and northern Chinese leopards at Howletts and at Port Lympne you can experience an African safari to see giraffe, black rhino and many more. There’ll be something to keep everyone entertained this Easter at Howletts and Port Lympne and with the continuation of our great value Passport ticket, visitors can come back as many times as they wish for a year – so if you missed something on the first visit you can catch it on the next.
If you would like to learn more about the work of the Aspinall Foundation, or would like to help raise funds for this amazing charity, why not adopt an animal through our dedicated page? There’s loads to choose from (I adopted a Honey Badger!) and your small monthly donation will go a long way to helping endangered animals that really need our assistance.
